10th October 2007 Shirley hall Canterbury The pieces where performed by Cantate and the Canterbury Orchestra. Pieces which where only performed by the Canterbury Orchestra are marked with "(CO only)" ...here the orchestra was joined by the refined singing of the Cantate Chamber Choir in beautiful contrasted settings ... the ending was particularly fine, leading from the beauty of expression of the unaccompanied choir to an exhilarating and finely prepared final fortissimo chord. A special concert that made a special contribution to the Festival. John Harris - Kentish Gazette |
