Edward began his musical career as a chorister at the age of seven. He went on to study piano, singing and organ.
In 1992 he graduated with an honours degree in Music and Radio, Film & Television from the University of Kent at Christchurch College where he studied organ with Michael Harris at Canterbury Cathedral. In 1993 Edward also gained his teaching diploma.
Since 1989 he has held a regular Organist & Choirmaster position. As well as Director of Music for the Cantate Chamber Choir he is Repetiteur and Assistant Musical Director for The Thanet Festival Choir.
Edward, also works as a peripatetic/classroom music teacher and has taught in a number of schools, and privately. He has performed as a soloist, accompanist, and as a member of an orchestra and has been Musical Director for numerous shows, pantomimes and productions including: ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘Rats’, ‘Joseph’, ‘Grease’, ‘Honk’ ‘West Side Story’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘Oliver’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘The Wizard of Oz and Les Miserables.
