We had a fantastic season!
Singing in the Methodist Church, organised by the Broadstairs Music Recital Society, was a delight.
The program included a secular first half with works amid others from Thomas Morley, John Rutter, the Gerschwins, Gerald Finzi, Take That and Howard Goodall
The second half warmed the audience up for the impending Christmas season with Christmas songs by Bob Chilcott, Philip Ledger, John Rutter (what would a Christmas Concert be without Rutter?) Mykola Leontowich and more.
St Philips enabled us to design a Café like venue with little tables spread out, each decorated with candles and Christmas finery. This gave us the opportunity to create a perfect, cosy and beautiful evening with Christmas music.
The program (in addition to above) included also works by Harold Darke, Martin Shaw and Irving Berlin.
We enhanced the Farmers Market with our more up beat repertoire of Christmas songs and concluded our season with the concert at the Salmestone Grange - the little ancient chapel was packed with our audience and we are considering having two performances there in 2016.
